Hi all, I'm full of stretch marks only gained since I've been pregnant, I'm 27 weeks now and they are now the most noticeable, they are really red and deep, I was a size 8/10 before I was pregnant and never suffered with fat, but now I have legs are covered with stretch marks and my skin is like cottage cheese! I am currently using the cocoa butter for stretch marks, bio oil and palmers skin repair oil, I apply after a bath every day.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can avoid getting more or fade away my current ones? Any good oils or creams you would recommend?

Hi I'm in the same boat 27 weeks tomorrow and my tummy is starting to look like Freddy Kruger. I've been told not alot desperately helps.
I've stopped spending a small fortune of different lotions I will only apply them if they get sore and aggravated.
Just going to wait until baby's born and they will reduce and fade to a silvery white and not look so bad.
Just rolling with it at the moment Sad

I think you either get them or you don't. You can't prevent them. Just keep up the bio oil etc. They will fade and go silvery eventually.

I am paranoid about stretchmarks as have loads from growth spurt when I was teen. They have faded to silver but as I have olive skin are still noticeable! Figured I was susceptible to them so have been obsessive about creams etc.

Now 27w and I have been using:
Trofolastin anti stretch mark cream - read in Expecting Better that this has had some proven success in preventing stretch marks
Emu oil (from Amazon) - it's meant to be better at penetrating the skin than other natural oils and it does make my skin feel supple for a long time

No stretch marks yet (touch wood) even though I have gained 13kg already (which is more than a fifth of my pre preg body weight) and am enormous...

I also tried the Secret Saviours belly belt as was recommended by a friend but gave up on it as found it v uncomfortable.

Unfortunately it's all down to genes.. I tried every lotion and potion when I was pregnant on my first but to no avail.. bio oil will help reduce appearance but u have to remember that at 27 weeks your bump is still growing.. relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy there's plenty of time afterward to worry about your tiger stripes Grin

Unfortunately if your going to get them your going to get them. I don't believe all these creams and oils work although it is good to keep your skin moisturised to maintain elasticity X

What the previous posters have said, it's down to genes and how much elasticity is in your skin.
I honestly wouldn't waste money on a load of creams. If your going to get them, yoir going to get them.
