5 baby gros
5 short sleeved body suits
1 cardigan
2 hats
2 cellular blankets
pack of newborn nappies
cotton wool
muslins

my bag
granny knickers
nursing bra
breast pads
lansinoh
maternity pads
flip flops
light weight dressing gown
nightie / pj top with buttons for feeding
3 x comfy outfits
towel
toothbrush
toothpaste
lip balm
hand cream
face cream
phone charger
snacks- see below

food bag
water bottle with sports cap
oat bars /cereal bars
crisps
frozen orange juice cartons with straws
fruit (grabbed from fruit bowl and juice from freezer
before we left - put a note on bag to remind me)

When did you pack it?

Toiletries, kindle, spare phone charger, pyjamas and my notes from about 24 weeks on. Full bag from about 36 weeks.

What was in your bag?

Wash bag
Cash for for parking/vending machines
Socks
Dressing gown (large cardigan)
Flip flops
10 maternity pads
Enormous cheap nighties
Contact lenses and glasses
Bag for dirty washing
Phone charger
Packet of enormous granny pants
Change of clothes to go home in
Hair clips, bands, head bands etc
Kindle and charger
Hand cream
Lasinoh samples
Tissues
Wipes
Gum
Maternity notes
Pants/shorts/t shirt for DH

What was in baby's bag?

knitted cardigan, hat, 10 nappies, blanket, muslins, mittens, changing mat, water wipes, 5 vests & 5 sleepsuits in newborn and 0-3 months sizes

Then in the car I had the rest of the pack of nappies/maternity pads and a V shaped pillow.

You don't need most of that stuff, over-packing is how I deal with anxiety! You could very easily leave most of it at home (maybe in a pile so a visitor could pick it up if needed?) or in the car xx

I am a bit like that too, I'd rather be over prepared! Yet I might have a "essential" bag and a "extra" one that I can leave in the car for DP to get if needed (I could never just send him home for something, he'd never find anything lol)
