How do you know if you are leaking amniotic fluid after CVS?

It might be that the answer is "you KNOW if you are leaking amniotic fluid" in which case I'm not, but I have noticed a bit of watery discharge in the last few days since CVS. I couldn't say if it's more or less than usual as not something I think about much usually! Blush

Should I be worried? I do mean a few drops here and there, no soaking. It could be usual pregnancy discharge

How far gone are you OP?... i would imagine you must be quite late on tl have a CVS but i'm 35 weeks and i have noticed a massive increase i discharge to the point i have to wear panty liners.

The midwife at triage told me to lay down for a bit and then get up and if you feel it come out it might be fluid.

No dw about it hun!...

Alot of people (myself included) started to get ALOT of watery discharge around your stage and its supposedly one of those things, for me this then worse off a bit and has come back even worse now!

But i would say given that you have had the CVS maybe pop a pad on and call your local Triage etc... they normally won't help you unless you are over a certain amount of weeks but they might be able to swab you to see if it is amniotic fluid leaking.

Sorry i couldn't be of more help!

I had a CVS and the needle (thingy) goes in through your abdomen so don't see how that could cause an increase in vaginal discharge as a CVS shouldn't move the cervix mucus plug.
