Aversion now a craving?

I had mcs in April and in June so I do get a bit worried. But I know no-one has a crystal ball!

With ds I went right off chocolate, esp dark chocolate.

Have been off it so far now (I'm 6 weeks) but today suddenly had a craving for it!

Breast still sore and mild nausea comes and goes (though it was worse earlier on) and no spotting.

Just wondered if it's a thing?

Had a sudden craving for chicken yesterday, then felt queasy afterwards, and not really feeling like I can face it again.

With my first I had an absolute aversion to curry - I couldn't even walk past an Indian restaurant without throwing up. I'm 39 weeks with second DS and eating curry 2-3 weeks.

I think I mean switching within the same pregnancy. But thanks for your response :)

The first trimester is just bonkers. Things I loved one day I hated the next. DH gave up food shopping and started just asking me what I wanted on the day because there was no way of predicting it! I think it’s totally normal to go on and off things, don’t worry. My proper ‘cravings’ didn’t kick in until the second trimester - before that it was more ‘things that made me feel sick’ and ‘things that I quite fancied’.

Thanks peach - with ds it was quite consistent and I get unnerved because of the mc. However there I had a loss of symptoms and no where near as many aversions etc.

With my first (DD) I went off chocolate, dairy, meat, curry and eggs but the aversions all went away by the second trimester (loved runny eggs later on!). Now 25 weeks with DS and had the same food aversions initially but now I can eat everything except chocolate/cream.

I'm 28 weeks and still off chicken.

I just worry it's the start of loss of symptoms again. :(

Hi, I was off chocolate completely for the first few weeks and now suddenly fancy it again - as far as I know baby is fine! I also couldn't live without a certain type of sandwich every day for a few weeks and now wanting other stuff. I don't think cravings/aversions are totally consistent throughout pregnancy, too many hormonal changes. X

Thanks Oli, that's helpful.

Pregnancy after a mc sends you insane!
