I'd call and speak to them. I'm not sure it's a sign of labour, but can be a sign of pre eclampsia can't it?

Phosphorus · 20/09/2017 18:53

I'd second calling someone.

My midwife came straight to the house to measure my blood pressure etc. when I was in a similar position.

Xeneth88 · 20/09/2017 18:55

OP please don't panic but you need to call the midwife or the maternity hospital/centre you are booked in to. Headaches that severe can be a clear sign of preeclampsia as pp have said. Its much better to get checked and be safe. Please call them now.

Applesandpears56 · 20/09/2017 18:56

Seconding that you need to get checked out tonight

SisterhoodisPowerful · 20/09/2017 19:18

As others have said, it's one of the symptoms of pre-eclampsia so your midwife or GP will want to see you immediately to check your blood pressure.

Monstamio · 20/09/2017 19:21

My first thought was pre eclampsia too. Time to get checked out. Hope it is labour tho!

Applesandpears56 · 22/09/2017 23:32

How are you op?

10storeylovesong · 23/09/2017 07:41

I woke with this early hours Monday morning. It was blinding and paracetamol didn't touch it. I had a midwife apt that morning anyway and she immediately tested me for preeclampsia. Luckily my BP was still very low, but she said headaches were enough of a concern that I'm now on weekly apts rather than fortnightly apts. I would second calling someone to double check, although in my case it was lack of sleep and dehydration. She told me to sip lucozade and it slowly went away.

Im fine all. Headache went and no reoccurrence. Just waiting for baby still. 40 weeks today xx
