hot tubs and pregnant is it safe?????

i thought i read some where that going in a hot tub when pregnant can be dangerous is it this true or is it just in the beginning of pregnancy???

i am now 24 weeks gone

I have to go for a jacuzzi as part of my job,lol,dont ask! and when i was pregnant my midwife advised me not to go because they carry a high risk of infection.

no..due to risk of overheating and also illness from mould spores or some such...best to avoid....sorreeeee!

sorry hopeigetsomemegaeggs but do you mean it makes you too hot so you shouldnt go in so if i dont let my self get to hot i will be ok or not we are going to see my parents on holiday and there is one there at there log cabin

I remember being told to avoid hot tubs, jacuzzis and even having the bath water too hot as it raises your body temp which could be harmful to your baby. Also, like the others have said, risk of infection. So I'd say no, sadly, you should give the hot tub a miss.
