rest of family have taken Ovex. Poor girl - her front and back bottom are in a right old state. Anyone had this problem in pregnancy?

Never had to take medication whilst pg but a good friend of mine did when her son caught worms and mentioned it to her GP who was aghast and said all manner of scary things to her... she turned up on my door in a terrible state...

... it turned out she wasn't pg in the end (had got a false positive on the pg test) so relieved in one way i suppose...

... i guess i wouldn't take anything unless i'd checked with gp first - you just never know what's ok and what's not.

Not supposed to take it when pregnant. TBH, when my DD had threadworms I didn't take it because first time round I was extremely ill with the medication (pripsen). DD got them so often I just made sure I washed my hands thoroughly and no towel sharing etc.

Am assuming you know to really dust and vacuum as the eggs hang around on all surfaces... also disinfect loo seats, flush handles, door handles... and wash bedding on hottest wash... apologies if i'm stating obvious to you

Sorry no, you can't take anything, but if you can break the egg laying cycle you will get rid of them even if you have them

Cut your nails very short and use a nail brush often

wear pants in bed plus pj bottoms and change pyjamas daily

have a shower as soon as you get up

wash hands always before eating

keep your toothbrush in a cupboard and rinse before use

hoover and dust everywhere, basically the eggs are in your household dust and you can inhale them as well asingesting orally don't swoosh your sheets about and change them frequently

good luck
