Hospital have asked for bloods to be repeated?

Im 10weeks now had my bloods done a few weeks back at booking in appt but have now had a letter saying that i need to have them done again. Just a bit anxious as never had this with my first 2 pregnancies. Just fretting a bit could this mean there is something wrong?

It could be a simple mistake. I had to have bloody repeated as the midwife wrote the wrong date of birth on the bottle.

I've also had to have blood retaken as the lab weren't happy with the amount of blood in each tube.

They're probably rechecking your iron levels or something. I would imagine if it was serious, they would have rang you. Try not to worry

Most likely thing is an inadequate sample for one of them. I'd try not to worry

I've had that, they just didn't get an adequate sample.

I had the same, just got a letter with no info and it panicked me. Turns out my platelets were a bit low and they were fine on the next sample. Labs are really fussy about how much blood theyll accept, whether the labels are handwritten etc so try not to worry. Although if you are concerned ring your midwife and she can tell you why x

I had to have mine repeated because they put them in the wrong coloured test tube thingy

Someone screwed up between midwife and lab so no results found would be most likely. Had 1 set repeated - no issues

I've had that, it was an inadequate sample. I also had to have a repeat urine once as the original leaked in transit
