Hi all
Feeling a bit miserable with early pregnancy symptoms and wondered if anyone else had similar.
I'm 5 weeks pregnant with number 2 and have had really bad nausea and vertigo pretty much from when sperm met egg. I've had to take the week off work whilst I try and sort the vertigo out as I can't drive with it. Am laid up in bed whilst the room spins. DH is doing everything and I'm not able to care for DD to the extent I'm used to.
I'm on 50mg cyclazine 3x per day, which is really helping with the nausea, but not with the vertigo. I had 6 weeks off work last time like this, tried all the different drugs before finding that cyclazine enabled me to move from the sofa/bathroom floor. I had a great boss last time who was very understanding. New boss is unlikely to welcome the news that I'm pregnant!! Employer overall is fine though and I get good sick pay.
GP practice is great, no hesitation to give me the cyclazine that sorted me out last time, and said not to suffer in silence of I was still bad. However I'm not sure there's much they can do about the vertigo.
It's not HG as I don't vomit and I can eat (occasionally, but only before 2pm).
Has anyone else had this? Did anything help?
I'm over the moon to be pg but this is really doing my head in.
