Hi all.

Just wondered if anyone can help please. I was in tesos this morning and been in there a while when I came over very lightheaded and sweaty and I was shaking like a leaf. Went and sat down in the changing rooms with my two boys !! My heart was beating soooo fast and I could feel it beating and see it too. After five minutes I was ok so decided to get home asap. All fine until half an hour ago when the same thing happened. After 5 mins was fine but have been left now wit a dull ache at the bottom of my head. Any expriences of this??

Thanks Lisa

were you too hot?

had enough to drink?

perhaps you are a little bit aneamic, maybe take some spatone or floridex to boost your iron leves, just in case...

sounds like it could be a bp issue - i have lowish blood pressure and used to have spells like this - feeling faint and sweaty. I would have a rest, and a glass of water and see how you are in an hour or so. I would also ring your MW if this is the first time this has happened.

Hi

I wasnt hot just felt normal. Had a MW appt yesterday and all was fine apart from had some protein in my urine (TMI !!) and so she sent that off and i will get the results tuesday. BP was fine too.
Was very freaked out.

Thanks for very quick responses.

low blood sugar? Had you eaten today?

LieselVentouse · 05/04/2007 14:57

I would contact your GP and ask for advice

mumto3girls · 05/04/2007 15:02

I agree with the bp suggestion. Also dehydration can lower your bp so keep drinking!!

I got this the other day in John Lewis. I just needed to sit down and have a drink. As the other mumsnetters have said it was probablhy just you BP dropping a bit. Don't worry but if you are concerned then mention it to the MW.
(I am 25 weeks tomorrow)

Sounds like heart palpitations to me...as I also suffer(ed) from this in my pregnancies. Can happen to anyone in any normal pregnancy. Usually nothing to worry about, these episodes tend to stop after baby is born, unless you have an underlying heart condition like myself (irregular heartbeat). Ask your GP or MW to refer you to a cardiologist.
