In 2015 had DS, surgery had an in house midwife so booking in appointment pretty much as soon as I informed them I was pregnant.

Different surgery. No in house midwife. Nurse can only do injections (her words). Currently 8 weeks informed gp at 6 weeks post positive heart beat (ivf) and I've been referred to a consultant and no indication of a booking in appointment. So when was yours?

Yes they are saying no midwife care at all, just direct to consultants which is fine BUT no indication of when booking in appointment (can hospital do?). As I pay for prescriptions I'd like to get the prescription form done asap.

I'm 10 weeks on Thursday and still haven't heard anything from the Midwife.
I had my private scan after being referred by the Docs (and so the notes that the Midwife has actually shows that I am 12 weeks on Thurs as my dates were slightly out)

I rang them and they told me someone would be in touch in the next 3 weeks to arrange. I'm a bit worried about how late this is leaving it, as everyone I spoke to seemed to have their 1st app at 10 weeks.

Is this normal, or should I be chasing them up again?

Thanks guys, just starting to worry myself a bit.
