Hi everyone
This might be a silly question!
I had my 12 week scan last week and will be 13 weeks tomorrow - what happens with booking my 16 week antenatal appointment with the midwife - will I be sent an appointment or do I need to make one?

I'd give them a call. Here you always book your next appointment at the end of the previous one, so I booked my 16 week appointment at the booking in appointment at 9 weeks.

My GP had a midwife clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I had to call up after the 12 week scan and book it in with them.

I had to call my doctors and make the midwife appointment myself.

My midwife phoned me up a few weeks before my 16 week appointment and got letter through about 20 week scan. Midwife then also phoned up about the one after that but has since booked all new appointments at the end of the last.

It depends how it works in your area. For me, the midwives booked my 16 week appointment at the end of my booking appointment (at 8 weeks). Otherwise I would call and ask them. You may book through the surgery that holds the clinic or you may need to call the midwife team and book directly with them.
