.......... threw up on the coffee table this morning. Late for work 'cos I had to clear it up. Gross. Am I the only one with a horrid experience? Help me put it into perspective.

(Sorry if your are squeamish - thankfully I am not)

I had to handle the morning deliveries when i managed a shop and quite often had to run to the bin on opposite side of the road to be sick oin front of everyone . Also felt so sick i used to keep a bag in my pocket "just in case" coz the loo's were far away and lift not reliable. Luckily i didn't need it!

MerlinsBeard · 05/04/2007 11:11

should explain that the bin was one of those bins that just has a cut out bit on the side so u can't drop any old thing in.

Porpoise · 05/04/2007 11:14

how long have you got?
Have been sick in pot plant in Waitrose, on office floor in middle of pitch to a very uptight client and - brace yourself - in someone's lap on the Tube.

margo1974 · 05/04/2007 11:16

mumof monsters - i picked a bin which only opened at the side too - typical

misdee · 05/04/2007 11:23

geordiemacminx · 05/04/2007 11:23

Was having lunch in the garden with dp, started to feel bad, just made it into the kitchen to get a carrier bag, then spend the next 20 minutes sat on the step being sick into it - used to get really hot when I was being sick so ended up in just my bra and pants... thank god the garden isnt over looked else I might have been arested!!!

I was sick in the car onto my lap on the way (a long way) to see a house (that we are now living in) Had to stop and go to a charity shop to buy some new trousers before we arrived.

marieg76 · 05/04/2007 13:46

Porpoise - I can't believe that you vomited on someone else! How did the person react? Was the amount "copious"?

tortoiseSHELL · 05/04/2007 13:54

I was sick during a choir practice I was conducting - suddenly realised I was going to be, said mid-piece 'I think we'll take our break at that point, thank you' as I ran out the door, fortunately made it to the Ladies, but then had to go back to do the rest of the choir practice!

marymillington · 05/04/2007 13:54

it was either stumbling to the front of a bus full of horrified work colleagues, jumping off and promptly vomiting down the drain outside the philharmonic hall in liverpool

or the giant wheelie bin outside wh smith in helensburgh

take your pick

KittyLetteMeEatAnEasterEgg · 05/04/2007 13:57

i was flicking through a magazine at my MILs when i was about 13 weeks pg and there was a picture of a cows face close up with its big tounge hanging out...

i instantly threw up because of it luckily she had wooden flooring not carpet

KittyLetteMeEatAnEasterEgg · 05/04/2007 14:11

and i also once threw up instantly on the spot when my DP said 'strawberry toothpaste'

expatinscotland · 05/04/2007 14:12

DH was watching a Sean Connery film and the apple Sean was scoffing looked appetising.

So I ate one.

After I'd had a bacon roll and chips for tea.

I boaked and boaked so bad DH tried to come in to see if I was alright.

And ran from the loo about to be sick himself.

gemmiegoatEGGS · 05/04/2007 14:14

i had to get off a bus when pg with ds, to throw up over a fence. it was one of those real howlers of a january morning and the wind blew the sick right back at me. I couldn't go to my appt (covered in sick obv) and I rang and rang my dh to come pick me up but he was working shifts and sleeps like the dead. I couldn't get back on the bus covered in puke so I had to walk home, covered in vom!

apeainapod · 05/04/2007 14:17

Right now! Just had a 2 hour mani and pedi - what with all of the other potions and lotions in a very close vicinity I spent about 10 minutes wretching into a bin! Nice.... My nails look good though!

chocolateface · 05/04/2007 14:20

Ds1 steped in dog poo and I threw up just at the thought of cleaning them. He had to wear his wellies to go and buy a new pair of shoes.

Porpoise · 05/04/2007 14:24

Marieg76
I know - neither can I. Still about it.
The man in question was rather shocked (obviously).
He kind of 'received' it by default as I was trying madly not to heave over this sweet little old lady right in front of me.
Worst thing was the utter silence in the rest of the carriage...

marieg76 · 05/04/2007 15:18

Porpoise - that is absolutely hilarious! Happy Easter.
