Hi all,

I'm 15 days post ovulation and have got my first ever BFP. SmileGrin

What do I do next?!

Is it too soon to tell the GP? Or do I actually need them to know incase something happens?

I'm terrified of something will happen and I know I will probably have this feeling for weeks to come.

At what point would a chemical pregnancy happen if it was going to?

What are the next stages?

Some help and advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much x

Congrats on bfp!

You can tell your GP so that they can refer you for your booking appointment with the midwife which will happen between 8 and 10 weeks (calculated from date of last period)

Do some research on your nearest hospitals to decide which one you might want to give birth at (if you have more than one to choose from)

Regarding chemical pregnancy these usually show up close to the date your next period is due. So it's worth retesting again in the morning.

It's a nerve wracking time, fingers crossed for you that nothing does go wrong.

Best of luck x

Thank you so much.

I can't work out when I would be due because my periods have been so random. Last cycle was 72 days!
My first day of my last period was on 31st july and I know I ovulated (used opk's so pretty sure) on 1st of sept. According to online calculaters im about 7 weeks pregnant but i know i only ovulated 2 weeks ago.

Is it normal to have little twinges and cramps?

Thank you so much x

Def do another test in morning.
I had a few cramps ( thought it was my period that consequently never arrived). Best of luck x

Little twinges and cramps are normal due to things stretching. 'Proper' ones or period pain, not so much.

You need to phone your GP / get a MW referral asap bc as far as anyone is concerned right now, you're seven weeks gone. They use your LMP date until your dating scan at 12 weeks even if you had a clinically tracked cycle, IVF, whatever. Your official EDD may then get put back at the scan, depending on the baby's size at that point.

Congrats and good luck Smile
