18 weeks - really low movements?

I started to feel baby at about 17 weeks but was surprised how low the kicks were. I've even seen the movements but they couldn't get much lower or they would be at my pubic bone.
I have a small bump but that's much higher and pretty soft still, so I'm really confused about where baby is and why I haven't got a bump lower down.
Anyone one else have this?

I can feel baby just above where my knickers are if that makes sense? I'm 18 weeks. I think it's normal, they are quite low still at this point IIRC. Enjoy it, because apparently being booted in the ribs later on isn't much fun!

at 17 weeks baby is still really low down in your pelvis hence why movements are low down.

@cakesandphotos yer I know I just can't wait until my bump is an actual baby bump Smile

Sometimes mine is so low I swear it feels like he will fall out of my bum Grin

I would not worry about the position at all. My sonographer told me not to even bothered trying to guess where he is, specially at this stage because they seriously move around so much, doing full turns etc, not only moving into a different lying position but moving to a different part of you completely.
