Ante natal classes

I am 25 weeks pregnant and due in December with my first, I tried booking into my hospitals ante natal classes and they are fully booked in October even though I emailed some time ago, they say the month after-November is too near my due date-so they'd rather I didn't attend at all?!
Is this typical-I'm not sure I can afford NCT classes-certainly not for both of us!

Is there any private groups in your local area? There usually is if you google it you should find something x

I didn't know they existed-I'll have a look, no idea what to expect otherwise!!
