I can't get out to get another until later but what do you think? It's cheap test so it's not a faint line is it? Is it just the line of the test showing through? Looked too much and can't tell now....

Merida83 · 12/09/2017 10:31

Having re-looked at pic that does look like an ovulation test not pregnancy test. BUT if pregnant you will show as positive on ovulation too.

indecisionisakiller · 12/09/2017 10:31

Oh ffs, nice packing mistake Poundland, not messing with my emotions at all. so likelihood is that i'm not as due on tomoz and feel like i will have a period coming. Not ovulating as due on tomoz. Will go out in hour and confirm.
This is awful....thought i was.....

indecisionisakiller · 12/09/2017 11:08

Foggymist · 12/09/2017 11:31

Frazzled2207 · 12/09/2017 11:38

I'm sorry that's really shitty x

Jellybabie3 · 12/09/2017 12:27

marvellouscreation · 12/09/2017 12:40

Oh god I'm so sorry it's not what you wanted. I'm gutted for you, could see how excited you were.
I've never used an ovulation test so wouldn't know any different.
Sending a big hug.

FoofFighter · 12/09/2017 12:46

Right, it's a little known thing among the TTC crew that you can actually use an OPK as a prengnacy test, so it might just be real.

Also bear in mind that you're going to get a strong result in the morning, first urine, and less so later in the day, so also don't rule it out that the pg test you just hadn't got enough of the hormone in your urine.

Leave it a few days and test again. With a pregnancy test. And yes Poundland ones are very reliable, don't need to waste your cash on fancy ones.

ijustwantfiveminutespeace · 12/09/2017 13:19

Well you seemed unsure at the start if you were happy or not and then sad you may not be. Gives you an idea if you really want a baby now or later. Good luck x

CL1982 · 12/09/2017 13:30

Oh no :( It's worth trying again tomorrow for sure. I know when i was pregnant the last few times i felt like i was coming on and obviously wasn't....

annieb101010 · 01/04/2018 22:40

Mines the same mines extremely faint positive from Poundland but a digital one came out negative not long after that but someone said to trust the positive? I’m not sure

GottaBeStrong · 03/04/2018 14:00

I used Poundland pregnancy test strips and later confirmed with Sainsbury's own cheapie blue type tests that come in a double pack and they all said pregnant but to begun with were quite faint. I found the Poundland ones tested faint positive when my period was due and got darker so I personally had a positive experience with them and I'd use them again.

butterflycatcher · 03/04/2018 14:54

I only ever used the strips from Poundland, didn't see the point in spending more for the same result.

But yes be careful, the packaging for their ovulation and pregnancy test boxes is extremely similar and staff often mix the boxes around on the shelf as a result.

So sorry that you have had such a disappointment in what is already an emotional rollercoaster of a time. Best of luck with your conception journey.

Dollypolly123 · 01/07/2019 19:17

Hello, I have done a Poundland ovulation test and it’s come up with 2 lines one being a bit fainter than the other, what does this mean?

Rememberallball · 01/07/2019 20:16

@Dollypolly123, if the test line is feinter than the control line it is a negative result. It has to be as strong as, or stronger than, the control line to be positive.

If considering using it in place of a pregnancy test, then usually the test line is very much darker than the control line but, you can have a surge of LH just before your period is due, so it’s not necessarily positive as a pregnancy test.

Hollzyyy17x · 28/01/2021 18:25

Anyone able to help , I’m not sure if I’m pregnant or not. I’ve been getting some of the symptoms but I’m just not sure x

Nat4392 · 28/01/2021 18:41

@Hollzyyy17x those are ovulation tests not pregnancy tests x
