We had a private scan today with Harmony test and nuchal fold is showing 4mm. It looks very prominent on scan pics. NHS scan is later this week and will get Harmony results Fri/Mon

Please does anybody have any experience with this? Might be for testing board but I'm so, so worried and hoping to hear other stories.

If Harmony test results are good, does anybody know the likelihood of other genetic abnormalities/heart conditions? I will ask on Friday but am not sure if we should have amniocentesis done even if Harmony good

I do have a virus at the moment and read anecdotal stories that this can impact on measurement temporarily but not any specific research

Thank you

I don't have experience with this but I really didn't want to read and run. It's going to feel like the longest time until you get the results but if anything try to stay away from google and look after yourself. I'm sure someone with better knowledge and advice will be along shortly, also worth posting on the testing board as well Flowers

We had a scary NT of 6 at the 11 week scan for DS, a few very long weeks followed as we had a CVS and other scans done. The good news is that we have a healthy, very loud 4 yr old who has just started school and is oblivious to the worry and tears he caused! Had faith, the next 2 weeks will be long so be kind to yourselves : and I strongly agree with previous poster's comment, if you can - stay away from the internet. There are many things this might indicate so please don't scare yourself reading up on the frightening ones. Our son was 1:5 risk but as the amazing consultant told us - until you have a diagnosis it is just that, a risk.
Hope it all goes really well xxFlowers

Thank you both

Carrotpuree, so pleased to hear about your son and thank you for sharing a good outcome

I know that I will worry now at each stage even if positive news in case it's something missed but will have to take one test at a time!

DH doesn't seem too worried but he is always of the "what will be will be" mindset and much as I love the optimism it can be frustrating!

Thank you

Sorry to bump but have looked over reassurance scan pics from 10 weeks and 8

I might not know what I'm looking at but pretty sure I can see big nuchal translucency on 10 week photos and possibly even one of the 8s

Does anybody know if this makes things worse or means anything? I know I am torturing myself and will have to wait until NHS scan and Harmony results to discuss further but don't know what else to do :(
