TTC after an ectopic/methotrexate

Hi everyone, I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago and unfortunately discovered it's ectopic, so I was given an injection of Methotrexate last week, and another this week as it wasn't dropping.

The nurse said we shouldn't TTC (trying to conceive) for at least 3 months, but the leaflet she gave us says 2 months. I've been doing lots of research online and some people have got pregnant within weeks, and apparently the drug is out of your system within a week. I've also read the main thing it does is deplete your body of folic acid, so if I were to start taking folic acid (as soon as this ectopic pregnancy resolves), would it be stupid of me to TTC (trying to conceive) after a month or so? If you've had an ectopic how soon did you ttc?

I waited the 3 months. Was too paranoid not too. I started taking folic acid as soon as my numbers got down to zero and I got pregnant immediately right on the 3rd month and am now 35 weeks.

Good luck OP it's a horrible time!

I was told I had to wait 6 months total because I had the 2 injections. That was around 3 years ago. Honestly? I would wait the recommended time (that they've told you) and save yourself the worry when you do get pregnant about whether you should have waited or not! And I had to take high dose colic acid, 5mgs if I remember correctly, it just the regular dose.
