Hi everyone, I am currently 32 weeks pregnant. This is my second pregnancy. Like this pregnancy I have beeen started on Labetalol 200mg twice daily order to control pregnancy induced hypertension. This time around my high blood pressure surfaced a lot earlier and have been on labetalol for around 5 weeks now to control it. The past week I have felt so very unwell, constant sore heads thats just do not go away, I have been feeling very sick. I have continually seen spots in my vision. I have reported this all to my maternity assesment unit, my midwife and the consultant in charge of my car on 3 different occassions throughout the week. My urine is clear, my bloods are normal. I feel so terrible I feel like im loosing my mind and everytime i go in to get checked i feel as though I am wasting valuable time. My blood pressure when I go in to get monitored always sits in the high 130s/80. However today I was driving into my local town when i went completley blind, I had to ring my husband from work to come and collect me, my vision returned after around 10 minutes, it was a frightening experiance.I really dont want to go back to the maternity assesment unit again as I dont feel they are taking me seriously and not sure tlwhat they will have me do if i was only there yesterday and everything seemed normal. I have made an appointment with my Gp this afternoon but i feel really stupid and dont know what I expect to happen. Is this just a normal symptoms of pregnancy and am i being to cautious by running to be monitored? Any advise would be very much appreciated xx

Hello. I will go straight to triage right now and not the GP.
Can you make your way there now? It sounds like preeclampsia and it can get worst very quickly so I will not wait. Please take your hospital bag with you.
