Afternoon all,

I'm a regular poster but have name changed. Probably I am BU but posting here for traffic.

I'm a day late and can't tell if this test is positive or just a ghost line?! Please give me your honest opinions! Its a Sainsbury's test with second wee of the day!

Thank you in advance!

There'll always be pregnancy threads popping up on a parenting forum! It's one of the main ways parents get a baby 😂

PurpleDaisies · 10/09/2017 16:59

The word positive isn't just for pg tests

No, but if you're sensitive about seeing positive pregnancy tests you'd assume that's what this thread was about though.

It's sort sweet that people are wanting to get offended on behalf of people struggling to conceive but I don't think anyone who is actually in that position is upset.

theymademejoin · 10/09/2017 17:05

No it's not but if you were that sensitive about it, you probably wouldn't. PurpleDaisies, who is going through infertility, seems to think it is obvious.

Purple - hope you get to see a test like that soon.

theymademejoin · 10/09/2017 17:07

@Barbiessharptoenails - I think maybe you need to read up on the birds and the bees if you think pregnancy threads are how parents get babies Grin

Ghostlinesareshite · 10/09/2017 17:16

I honestly wasn't trying to upset anyone, was just in a bit of a tis and wanted quick opinions so posted here for traffic which, on reflection, was a bit selfish so apologies. I've asked for it to be moved.

Thank you everyone for replying.

Latest FR test result shows a definite positive (one line is fainter but it said in the leaflet it's still a positive) so...officially up the duff!

It was in AIBU.

It could have been about George starting school, being offered a new job, a child being able to do something they couldn't before, brexit being cancelled, Trump getting stuck in a collapsing building , a huge UK donation to overseas relief funds.

The last thing I was expecting was a pregnancy test!

PurpleDaisies · 10/09/2017 17:28

As I said upthread titty, if you were actually bothered about seeing pregnancy tests you would have immediately thought that was what it was about.

Were you upset at seeing the test? Nobody who is actually infertile seems to be.

Anyway, the thread has now been totally unnecessarily moved so there's no point discussing it further.

Barbiessharptoenails · 10/09/2017 17:37

theymademejoin, oops I need me some learnin' GrinGrin

theymademejoin · 10/09/2017 17:44

Congrats op.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/09/2017 17:44

Please get this thread moved to where it should be. It is incredibly insensitive to post it here without a warning in the title

Don't be so bloody daftHmm

Congratulations OPFlowers

TittyGolightly · 10/09/2017 17:46

I've seen people getting upset on threads about HG, so sorry for being concerned about this thread. Splash your pee-sticks freely anywhere you like. Hmm

demirose87 · 10/09/2017 17:48

Second one is definitely positive, congratulations. If you're wanting to see a darker line, test in a couple of days and will be even darker x

theymademejoin · 10/09/2017 17:49

@TittyGolightly - my youngest is 14. I'm going through perimenopause so about as far removed from pregnancy tests, fertility thoughts etc. as you can get. Reading the title, my first though was that is was probably related to a pregnancy test.

theymademejoin · 10/09/2017 17:49

thought not though

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/09/2017 18:00

Yes, it was obvious what it was about from the thread title alone.

Barbiessharptoenails · 10/09/2017 18:06

Even if it wasn't, where do you draw the line with warnings? There'll always be people affected by everything. If something being posted on a chat forum might affect a person, that person might need to adapt for that and not use chat forums.
