Very high hcg levels

I had a blood test a couple of days ago and my hcg levels are 380,000. I'm 8 weeks pregnant and according to the chart, this is 100,000 over the top of the range.

Foolishly, I have googled high hcg and most things I've read have said that both molar pregnancies and Down syndrome pregnancies are causes for this. I haven't got an appointment for a week.

Has anyone else had experience of very high levels at this stage?

Could it be a multiple pregnancy? Twins? X

Thanks for reply. Apparently hcg levels are unlikely indicators of this. I'd be happy if so but it's not usually related.

Hey OP if you want to rule out Molar then you need to go for a private early scan (thats the only way to know before 12 weeks)

You can pay for a harmony/NIPT test at 10 weeks to check genetically if there is any issue with the baby like T13, T18 and DS otherwise you will have to wait till your triple test at 12 weeks

I have a scan and panorma test booked this Thursday (panorama can be done a week earlier than Harmony) but was wondering if anyone else had had very high hcg levels and what, if anything, it meant for their pregnancy.
