Has anyone ever had heavy implantation bleeding before?

I'm confused as to whether I was pregnant and having a miscarriage or I'm having implantation I know that sounds odd but I started bleeding 5 days earlier when my period was due my cramps are soooo painful that I couldn't move properly for 2 days painkillers wasnt doing it for either! The blood has a lot of stringy discharge and tiny blood clots ranging different colours (sorry for tmi) I'm not the type to go to the doctors about any pain kind just get on with it but this is so out of the ordinary just wondering before I go to the doctors this week if anyone's ever had the same experience?

What were your implantation bleeding like/experience?

And if you've had a miscarriage what was it like symptom wise?

Sorry for the 21 questions etc but anxiety out of this world right now and haven't got an appointment for another 2 days just want to settle this till then.

Sorry you're going through this. Have you done a pregnancy test?

cysta · 05/09/2017 16:36

Yes which has come out negative that's why I'm confused, as it was sudden 5 days before I had a burning feeling and frequent urge to go to the toilet and I'd pee 3 times within 30 minutes couple of times a day! But it doesn't sting or anything no problems passing just heavy amounts of blood and pain that it's been keeping me up also with sweating for the past 7 days and night! I know I've left going to the doctors later than I should but I just wanted to figure it out incase I look stupid at they just say it's a period but I've never experienced this ever before my periods have always been the same and consistent and always been 32 days apart. Sorry for babbling on!

If pregnancy tests have been negative at the time your period was due then that's as much reassurance as you'll get that you've not been pregnant, I think.

It all sounds rather upsetting for you and I hope the doctor can resolve it. Perhaps it's a UTI presenting unusually. Hope you feel better soon 💐

Were you TTC? Have you been taking pre-conception vitamins? My experience was that after a few months on pregnancy multivitamins my cycles shortened considerably and changed.

If you were pregnant, I would have assumed a test at that point would have shown positive. If it's a considerably heavier and longer period than usual it could be hormonal changes but if you feel like you might have an infection it's worth getting checked out.

I only took the test yesterday morning but I was going to wait till my period was due which isn't till the 8th but I started on Saturday the 2nd instead I ovulated the same time as I normally do! Just wanted abit of reassurance it could well be something different then anything pregnancy related! Just fingers crossed it isn't serious! Thank you!
