Funny turn

Anyone experienced something like this? I'm 36 weeks pregnant. I had been lying down. I got up and had been sitting on a stool for about 20 mins. Suddenly I had a funny turn, its hard to describe. I had like a swooping feeling in my chest (no pain), light headed, felt I was going to fall off the stool. I felt dazed and slightly sick.

Now I'm just feeling slightly detached and suddenly very tired. I feel like I could shut my eyes and go straight to sleep.

Any ideas? A blood pressure drop? A blood sugar drop?

As an aside, I had my midwife check yesterday and my blood pressure was fine, although I had ketones in my urine

I would call Triage personally just for some advice... it could be normal but i would still want to check!

I've had it before, in my previous pregnancy, also sitting on a stool. Felt fine once I sat on the sofa, had a cold drink of water and a little sugary snack. Not sure what it was, I just put it down to general pregnancy symptoms. I do tend to suffer with low blood pressure during my pregnancies though, so possibly that. Maybe have a little rest or a nap, and contact your local MAU if you still feel poorly after that? Of course if you're concerned then contact your local MAU straight away. Hope you feel better soon, this pregnancy malarkey is hard work so take it easy Flowers

@Lemondrop99 I've been having them too. For me though I know it's a mixture of low blood pressure and lack of fluids. But I agree with the others about checking if you're worried. (And sleep dammit you and I both know we need it)

Thanks all. I ended up throwing up afterwards, although I suspect that probably HG related. I haven't eaten or drunk properly yesterday or this morning. I've sat down, eaten and had some water and feeling ok at the moment. If I feel off again, I'll call triage.
