What vitamins are you taking? I'm 5 + 4 and have been taking folic acid, however my sister mentioned taking vitamin D - the only one I can find has calcium in it, does anyone have any advice? Thanks Smile

Hi, congratulations :)
I'm 6 weeks and the doctor advised me to take the original pregnacare supplements as he said they have the specific requirements of folic acid and vitamin D in them!
All the best!

Boots sell vitamin D on its own at the recommended strength. I think it's fine to take the calcium though, as far as I'm aware vitamin A is the only one you should avoid.

Boots also sell a folic acid and vitamin d together supplement (ie both in one tablet....think it was with the pregnancy vitamins in my store)

I take a standalone Vit D on top of Pregnacare as multivitamins don't have enough in (according to my mum's consultant who is a Vit D specialist).

something with iodine in

I took the one SS81C mentioned - Boots folic acid with vitamin d. After a while I changed to seven seas trying for a baby (multi vitamin) just to make sure I got everything covered but no real need for this according to my gp
