For anyone who has had one of the Amby hammocks can I please ask you what bedding and clothing you used? I have 2 of the fitted sheets but with my first due May 27th (8 weeks OMG) and summer coming on I have no idea what blankets or other bedding to use. I'm also not sure what I should be putting my LO in for sleeping in the hammock. Do I use a sleeping sack on a newborn? Do I swaddle her?

Many thanks in advance for your thoughts

Hi, no help here but am interested in what comes back as I'm thinkning of getting one of these for DS2. I guess I was just thinking of swaddling him (due in July) in a lightweight blanket on top of a vest and then popping him in the hammock... But it would be good to hear anyone else's thoughts

What bedding to use really depends on the temperature - it can get very hot over early summer. I am planning to use a vest and swaddling blanket initially, and add sleepsuits/blankets if lower temps demand them. When DS was still quite small he was just sleeping in a nappy some nights as it was so hot. You should get some advice from the hospital/health visitor about how much bedding to use.

i've got 5.5 week old dd2 in the amby in a sleeping bag atm, I think it's just a matter of being sensible, taking into account the weather etc. The instruction booklet tells you not to over wrap them so no huge blankets or anything.
