Sharp abdominal pain, situated all over my stomach however is mostly in the upper stomach. The only way I can describe the pain is as if I've belly flopped onto water from a height. No other symptoms although the pain gets worse with any movement. I'm 28 weeks pregnant with my first 😳

Could it be muscular? Have you strained yourself lifting something, for example?

Or could it be a stomach bug type thing?

Google 'round ligament pain' and see if that matches.

However.... few of us on here are medical experts! Ring out of hours docs

Sounds like pregnancy indigestion :) But do go to out of hours if you're worried.

Worth mentioning -if you haven't had it before the level of pain is really quite alarming! I went to OOH when I had it, not knowing what it could be and they sent me home to take a rennie and come back if it didn't improve.

Is your baby doing their same movements?

Kohi36 · 02/09/2017 20:40

Get it checked out. I had similar and I went into spontaneous labour at 28 weeks and 3

Go and get checked!!!!

I woke up with sharp pains in the night last week and had similar pain. I went to OOH and was told to have some rest which I did but because I work in a pub there's not much rest I can have. I have rang 111 and they've told me to go to OOH. Hopefully I can find out what's causing the pains and find out if baby is okay as he's been very quiet today. I could be over reacting but it's a strange pain 🤷🏻‍♀️

No such thing as over reacting in pregnancy and the health professionals will say the same! Good luck, let us know all is ok
