Low lying placenta

Hi this is my first time posting, and just looking for some reassurance. I'm 37 and pregnant with my first baby conceived via IVF due to fertility issues caused by grade 4 endometriosis. Pregnancy was great up until 16 weeks when I started having pink discharge when trying for BM. To add to the mix I am also o negative. A recent scan at 22 weeks has now confirmed I have a low lying placenta covering os and is likely to be the cause of the spotting. I have now been to hospital 3 times and twice within the last week. It does not seem to follow any pattern and happens mainly when having a BM although it has happened once on wiping after having a wee. All occasions have been on wiping only.
I and 22 weeks and 3 days today, I feel so anxious now every time I need to go to the toilet incase it will happen again.
Just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation as I feel so alone and only want the best for my baby, thanks for taking the time to read my post xx

I have a low lying placenta which was still low lying at my growth scan at 30 weeks. Got a more detailed placenta scan coming up on Friday this week (32 weeks) and then the consultant will discuss the plan of action following that. She mentioned admission to hospital at 34 weeks and C Section at 37 to 39 weeks depending on the position of the placenta. I'm mentally preparing myself for a few weeks in hospital, and spent last weekend and this getting super organised for baby in case I'm not at home during the last few weeks

Have you had any bleeds during your pregnancy?

Sounds like they have a plan in place for you x

Hi Charl, no, no bleeds as yet touch wood. I don't think mine is completely covering the os, but even if it's just in the vicinity the consultant still might admit me. Yeah it's nice to know they've got a plan. Was a bit upset at the thought of being in hospital for a few weeks but I'm getting my head round it now and I'm sure I'll be glad of the extra monitoring and reassurance

No bleeding today.... yet although when I do get some it's only a tiny bit.

I'm not booked in to see my midwife or consultant until after my 32 week scan so potentially 4 weeks without any contact. Might ask if I can be seen every couple of weeks too just so I can hear the heartbeat & be reassured.

Can't decide when to finish work.... officially maternity leave starts at 37 weeks but I have got enough leave to finish at 32 weeks luckily, I'm tempted but don't want to get bored x
