Leg cramps

I'm currently 33weeks pregnant with my 2nd & I'm suffering with really bad leg cramps, especially at night. I know this is quite common in the 3rd trimester although I didn't have them with my first. Does anybody know of anything that may help or ease the cramps? It's driving me crazy!

Tonic water is good, quinine is good for cramp. Also bananas. Make sure you're getting enough calcium and magnesium too.

Drink lots. Banana before bed.
For immediate relief- point your toes towards your bump-or get some else to stretch the leg out for you.
Do some stretches before you get to bed.
It probably is just cramp but if the offending leg is bigger than the other one, warm to the touch or if anything looks wrong get midwife or GP to check it out to check it's not a blood clot.

I've had it bad throughout, tonic water helps, also putting legs on pillows to raise them, more recently I've been using one of them stretchy exercise bands when it wakes me up in the night to try and stretch it out and stop them being so restless. When they cramp up it's really bad! Confused
