I don't have any experience as I'm only 15 weeks but as you are only 6 weeks away from birth this sounds like your body preparing you for delivery? Have you asked your midwife

Sounds like baby's head is starting to engage? But yy to checking with midwife. I'm also 34 weeks Smile

I'm 37 and felt the baby's head drop at around the same time. It was actually quite painful when she headbutted me in the pelvis!

I'm 35 weeks today and have felt the same pressure in the last few days and bump has dropped. I had a midwife appointment 2 days ago but it was a student midwife who did the appointment with my midwife in the room (I was slightly annoyed that no one asked if I minded this, and I say that as a supervisor of NHS students!) I mentioned to her that I wondered if baby had dropped when she measured my bump but she just replied "yeah it might have at this stage" but didn't feel/check or tell me whether baby is head down. I'm just telling myself they probably are starting to engage... but that could just be because I really don't want to go overdue!! 🙈

Thanks ladies and I've had so many training Midwife's throughout my pregnancy and I've never been asked if it was okay! And I had a lot of tightening pains last night and can feel so much pressure when walking🙈 please don't make an appearance hey baby I move house next week haha!

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and felt the same the last few weeks. I thought I was waddling before, I just look ridiculous now! I was kept in hospital overnight last Sat as I was having mild contractions every 3 minutes for over 12 hours, but not effective enough to make me dilate. My DS was born at 27 weeks so was at risk of prem birth anyway which is why I was kept in. Apparently head down and partially engaged. However, consultant and midwives all said none of this really mean anything and baby will arrive when he's ready.
