Hi all, I'm feeling so sick with worry and just looking for some good news stories to keep my spirits up as I know this could go either way.

I'm five weeks pregnant and have had some spotting this evening. It was quite light and there doesn't seem to be more of it at the moment but I also have cramps.

DP offered to take me to a&e this evening but I thought it would be better to wait til morning and call the EPU. I also have a GP appt booked anyway tomorrow morning so depending what EPU say I might go for that too.

Has anyone had spotting/bleeding at this stage which turned out to be fine?

I really do hope it's nothing but I can't help but think of the worse. Would anyone no if epu are open on weekends?

katiegd · 02/09/2017 14:17

I think it possibly depends on your area as to whether EPU is open.

You could definitely call 111 though as they can assess your symptoms and might refer you to out of hours GP. 111 have always been really good when I've used them.

I haven't had good experience with shropdoc in the past so I haven't rang them. I'll just have to make an emergency appointment with the doctors Monday and hope they'll send me for a scan x

@katiegd. I would like to apologise for taking over your thread. sorry Blush

katiegd · 03/09/2017 16:22

@Ilovechocolate111 no worries at all! This is all about mutual support and helping each other, it doesn't matter that I started the thread. How are you doing today?

I am doing ok, starting to get really nervous for tomorrow. I haven't had more bleeding and my boobs have been super painful so I'm taking those things as good signs. Still so anxious about tomorrow.

I am so glad for you. Sounds like everything going to be fine your end. Defo let me know how you get on.
I'm not too bad I'm still bleeding but not as heavily now. I had some tiny clots yesterday but still no cramping. I got to ring doctors up tomorrow morning to see if I can see someone. (My gp is sh!t)
I know Ive had a mc but I'm not sad just angry at myself.
My body is crap
My friends just keep saying oh well life goes on... This is such a "good" mate that has never experienced a mc before! xx

katiegd · 03/09/2017 18:18

Sorry to hear that @Ilovechocolate111 Flowers.

I hope you manage to get in touch with a medical professional who will help tomorrow.

I will let you know how I get on.

Well I went to see a doctor this morning and yes I had a mc. Got to retake a pregnancy test in 2 weeks to make sure it says negative. He said that there was no need for a scan as the pregnancy test said negative.
He said that there is nothing else they could do about why I keep having miscarriages until I have another mc then I've had 3 one after the other.....
How have you got on @katiegd xx

katiegd · 04/09/2017 15:18

I'm sorry to hear that your mc was confirmed @Ilovechocolate111 Flowers. I hope you're ok and have support around you.

My appointment this morning went well - everything looked as it should so I think the spotting was just one of those things.
