Thrush :(

Just wondering if any of you have suffered with internal thrush during pregnancy, have been taking antibiotics for a while and today noticed thrush symptoms, brought the peasarry but think as gonna wait to call gp first in morning, any one experienced this?? X

Yes I did :-( Called MW & had to go in for a swab, they gave me the canestan pessary & cream & sent me on my way.

I had it permenantly for the last 4 months of pregnancy #3, total pain! Nothing fixed it! Disappeared once I got the baby out:)

Had it when I was about 6 weeks. GP said to use the pessary and cream.

I had it pretty much nonstop from 3 months onwards, with my first. It was by far my worst pregnancy 'thing'. I hadn't ever had it before either. In the end the GP gave me a few prescriptions for the pessary and cream and I could just use them when I needed to. I tried all the alternative cures too, live yogurt helped a bit and so did using wrights coal tar soap (I read that online somewhere!).

Thanks ladies glad am not alone hope I can use it tomorrow it's so frustrating have used the cream for tonight as better than nothing x

I spoke to the duty doctor yesterday who prescribed me 3 pessaries, though I didn't need to go for a swap which I thought was a bit strange... I'm 29 weeks pregnant.

I had :( had pessaries (it was worse as also had pessaries in the back for progesterone) which weren't fun but did clear it up.
