Pulled something today...

I'm 37+1 and today as I was putting my trousers on (pretty hard nowadays) I pulled something in the lower part of my stomach/pubic area. The pain was unbelievable and walking wasn't possible without gritting my teeth. Since resting the pain has settled but if I move too fast or walk too much it comes back. My question is baby has been moving about since this happened at 12:30 so she seems ok but should I call triage (midwives have gone for the day on the MW line) or just rest up and see how I am tomorrow?

If your worried a call to them won't hurt and they'll be able to put your mind at rest.

Sounds painful OP 🙁 if you are worried ALWAYS call your triage number. If you have a microwaveable heat pad try that- I over did it The other day and laid down with the heat pad on my pelvis- worked wonders. Also a bath may help? Get your other half to help you out!! Xx

It's probably just a strained muscle or ligament, I get it all the time and am only 28 weeks, is it like a stitch type pain when it starts up again? Unlikely to be anything even near baby, just the joyous strain of pregnancy!

Thanks for all your replies!

Meepmoop - I think you're right is hasn't settled later then I will!

Stepmum88 - I think I will, other half is home soon and I've told him what's happened. Currently can't move off of the sofa as the pain is bad when I move, so once he's back will attempt a bath before making any calls.

Foggymist - no it's a constant very sharp pain and only stops if I'm completely still. I do think you're right about it being muscular, didn't want to be a drama calling triage before getting others advice on it.

Really appreciate all the advice! Think I will have a bath when other half is home and go from there. Only extra cautious as broke my back a while back so don't need anything else niggling this close to my due date. Xx
