3rd Trimester making me feral

Is this just me? I'm 36 weeks with DC2 and feel like a wild animal defending it's run. Anyone (barr DP and DS) who gets in my space or touches me gives me the rage.

I'm 10 days into a 2 week visit to the in-laws, they are lovely, but not being on my home turf has started to put me very much on edge - I feel like I have the dark side of the nesting instinct!!

DP is loosing patience with me, as thinks I should just be able to see the constrant hugs from extended in-law family members and 'How are you doing? You look TIRED's as coming from a good place. I know they are, but they are also doing my nut...

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm 18 weeks and feel like that sometimes lol! i have literally no patience for anyone. The other day I flipped the bird at a random car just for driving a bit fast down a road. WTF?

A 2 week visit to in-laws at 36 weeks is seriously hard. I am expecting to be positively vile at 36 weeks! Can you hide anywhere?

Oysterbabe · 29/08/2017 17:00

I'm like this too. It started much earlier in my pregnancy though, about 10 years before conception.

I've hid in our room all day!

Haha Oysterbabe I think that might be me too!

Oh no wonder, you're 36 weeks preggers and the constant touching and asking is infuriating!! I had to stop myself punching well meaning colleagues who touched my bump and constantly asked questions. So glad that I'm not in work anymore as not sure how long I could have held it in for.

Why on earth did you opt to stay with the in laws for 2 weeks at this point tho? You need your own bed, own house, own space right now. Hope you manage to somehow get through it!!

Do you have a car? Can you make an excuse to go to the shop alone, and take a VERY long time, perhaps stopping for a McD's or ice cream on your way?

This is my 3rd and I have been a monster, I've resorted to just keeping myself to myself from friends and family.

I'm so glad I am nearly at the finish line, can't wait to feel myself again.

To be honest 2 weeks with my (lovely) inlaws would make me feel like that not pregnant. At 36 weeks you are a saint

Train home today - hooray! In-laws are literally in the middle of no where so no sneaking off anywhere unless I fancied eating berries and mushrooms in the forest!

Because they are so remote we always stay for at least 2 weeks and TBH even when not pregnant I get a bit angsty around 2/3rds of the way through and it takes someone from the outside to go 'jesus, 2 weeks with the in-laws!?' to remind me I'm not being hideously unreasonable!

Can't wait to get home and retreat into a little nesting bubble until the birth!!
