Normal sensations for early pregnancy

Hey ladies
So first post on the pregnancy section I just got my bfp at cycle 4 :). Going to the dr tomorrow I just very nervous! We're so happy, hubby hasnt stopped smiling but it hasn't sunk in yet and I'm reluctant to get too excited incase I loose it.
I've got an acheing sensation in my lower abdomen, it's not like cramps just slightly bloated and quite sore like if you worked out too hard and had sore muscles? Not sure how to describe it.
Is this a normal feeling? It's the only symptom I have other than being slightly nauseous.
Thanks :)

Yes, very normal. There is lots of stretching going on and round ligament pains (caused by the loosening of the soft tissues around your pelvis) can start very early. They were in fact my first sign with this pregnancy. I stood up to get out of the card and had sudden sharp pains. I remember that from my daughter. I'd even taken a pregnancy test a few days before and it had been negative. But it should have been obvious. I tested again a few days later when AF didn't show and I was clearly pregnant.

Sounds very normal.

And congratulations!!!

Very normal.

I was so tender and had what felt like seriously bad period cramps for about 3 months.. doctor said it's the stretching .

Thanks everyone :) makes me feel better to know it's normal I'm just being paranoid it's just so hard to know if it's all happening like it's supposed to!

I'm just over 6 weeks and have been having "period cramps" for nearly 3 weeks now, I'm assuming it's normal!

RedPanda25 · 29/08/2017 19:05

Oh phew thanks for posting this! I have the same and was worrying after my miscarriage earlier this year. Need to chill out I think. Good to know that cramps are normal!

Shabeth · 30/08/2017 18:33

Ha glad it's not just me worrying!! Sorry about your miscarriage :( I hear having symptoms like this early is a good sign :)
Hate that I have to wait a month before my first scan I just want this pregnancy confirmed! I won't feel like it's real until it is.

I had exactly the same, in fact mine were so bad that I went to hospital at about 5 weeks pregnant as I was doubled over in agony. I'm now 20 weeks and all is well.
On a different note, so sorry to hear of your miscarriage Red but wonderful that you are pregnant again. We were on the same TTC thread a bit ago.

RedPanda25 · 30/08/2017 18:59

I feel the same @Shabeth, just want to get to our scan so I know something is there this time.

Hi @Iamchanging! I remember you from the TTC thread. Thank you Smile trying to keep calm and take one day at a time.

Iamchanging · 30/08/2017 19:20

Fingers crossed that you all have super sticky babies and the wait doesn't feel like forever x

MagicMoneyTree · 30/08/2017 19:54

I had this too and I filed it under normal.

No need to see a doctor btw. Just call your surgery and tell the receptionist you've had a positive test and want to book in with the midwife.
