Hi

I'm 35+3 with my first baby.

I've had horrible cramps all through pregnancy with no bleeding. No one tells you about the terrible cramps and pain! It's usually your uterus stretching- to me it felt like really strong, severe period pain.

I would say it's totally normal but if you are worried call the EPU.

Thank you lovely, such a horrible feeling especially when they don't tell you what to except I had a scan last week and all was ok I just need to stop worrying :/ congratulations :) x

Congratulations to you too!

There are many things no one tells you when you fall pregnant.

  1. horrific cramps. Making you constantly terrified of miscarriage- it's very unlikely though.
  2. hair on your tummy. Dark hair. Lots of it.
  3. the ANXIETY. 'Will I miscarry? Will baby have a defect? Am I good enough to be a mum etc' lots more

This is so true and I feel them all!!!! I just have to stay positive and hope for the best! Think I want it so much that I worry about every pain, niggle and it makes it worse :( thank you! :)

Hi, if you're in really bad pain then that's not normal and best to get checked over. Any mild cramps such as mild period pain or stretching type can be normal. I've had mild cramps with all my pregnancies around the tine my period would have been due for the first few months and have always been told thats normal. Best of luck.

I had that at 11 weeks, I remember being terrified as it was identical to period cramps, even with shooting pains down my legs. Only lasted 10-15 mins thankfully, but it was REALLY strong. I drank a lot of water as recommended and lay there feeling sad. Now 31 weeks pregnant!
