Hcg and miscarriage worries

Hi 😊 I found out I was pregnant on the 19th of August and my ClearBlue test said I was 2-3 weeks (my LMP I think was the 11th of July). Since then I've had brown spotting that turned into pink/red blood, but it's not been heavy at all and any cramping has been really minor and what I think is normal. I did go to the early pregnancy unit on Friday where they did an transvaginal scan but couldn't see anything at all, but my uterus was tilted which didn't help! They checked my tubes and couldn't see any signs of anything there. They said it's likely I'm less than I thought which is probably true because I literally just come off the pill so might have ovulated much later!

They did blood on Friday the hcg results were 625, they've repeated them again today (48 hours later) and the results were 1022, not quite double 😟 and ClearBlue still Says 2-3 weeks. I may need another blood test and another scan but I'm really confused for 2 things

  1. Does this mean I haven't miscarried yet if it's risen by this in 2 days? Is the bleeding ok? I'm still bleeding a bit but absolutely no pain

  2. I've read online that as long as it doubles between 48-72 hours it's ok, and going by online calculators mine seems to double around 72 which seems ok?

Just wondering if anyone else has been through the same thing because I'm so confused 😟

Everyone's ones experience is different but I have a good news story for you.

Very similar, spotting went to epu. They couldn't see anything but did hcg bloods. I don't remember exact figures but I had 4 bloods tests each 48 hours. Each time my increase was 51% and I was told to expect the worst.

I was then scanned at 7w 4d and there was a flicker of a heartbeat.

That flicker of a heartbeat is now 4 weeks old and is currently being fed.

There is hope. When I saw my fertility consultant during all the tests he said some people need 72 hours for hcg to reach the 66% increase. Looks like I was one of those people.

Best of luck Flowers

Hi Chris1989, I hope you're doing ok?
I'm 5+2 (according to lmp) and have had inconsistent results with the clearblue digital's. I was driving myself crazy so went and got hcg levels checked today and they came back at 251. Going to repeat them on Friday as I know everyone says it's the rate of increase rather than the actual number that's important. But can't help feel that this is quite low. I have no pregnancy symptoms at the moment at all.
