Hello
Has anyone's depression got worse the later they are in pregnancy. I'm nearly 39 weeks and really struggling now

I really struggled at one point but managed to get it under control. Antenatal depression is a real & documented thing. Have you talked to your midwife or GP? Either should be able to arrange some extra support for you.

Iv had depression throughout from the beginning and I'm 33 weeks now and it's no better I started Sertraline mid way and it isn't really helping. I'm really worried I'm going to get postnatal depression and not bond with my baby, my worries are endless. I love the baby already and feel so protective but at the same time I get waves of regret. Have you had depression from early on in pregnancy or has it just come on later?

Thank you for the responses. I started sertraline at 30 weeks. It initially helped but the further I get into the pregnancy the less I think it is making a difference. I've been to the mental health team and they said it's not worth counselling until after baby now. I have had depression before and was on fluxotine for a short time but never had counselling. Think I just want to sort it out long term and have some control so I can enjoy the baby being a baby and not feel anxious or stressed x
