Gestational diabetes early on?

I'm 13 weeks and following a strong positive of glucose in urine at 10 week booking in, I asked to be tested again yesterday after 12 week scan. My urine was very diluted as was post-scan and had to drink a lot more and apparently my urine sucked all the ink out the test strip and went to black straight away. The MW was so shocked she said what on earth have you been eating.

I'm being sent for GTT in 2 weeks. What's the chances of not having GD with such high glucose.

My BMI is 21, I have couple of slices of toast for breakfast, sandwich/pasta and salad/jacket potato and salad for lunch. I'll often have a cake and then dinner. If I get hungry, I feel sick so try to snack on fruit in between.

Should I be worried as 13 weeks is very early! Anyone had very positive glucose in urine and actually been OK?

Thanks
