Lymphedema and Pregnancy..

Hi - I have had primary Lymphedema since I was 14. I am now expecting and have just had my first antenatal appointment. Apparently my pregnancy is high risk as I have Lymphedema which puts me at a higher risk or having Preeclampsia.

My last appointment with my Lymphedema nurse was last month. She was aware that I was pregnant but didn't mention this risk.

I have also struggled to find a link between Lymphedema and Preeclampsia.

Anyone?

Hi. I have lymphoedema too. It started after my first pregnancy. I am 28 weeks with DC 2 and this hasn't been mentioned by midwife or the lymphoedema nurse. Perhaps there are other factors that could make preeclampsia more likely? I don't know. Maybe ring your lymphoedema nurse and just check it out with her for piece of mind
