Big babies

My first was big (10lbs5 boy)
Second was normal (8lbs12 girl)

I had a growth scan with my second and I said to the sonographer 'I know this baby isn't big, it feels lighter'
Obviously I didn't have a clue what to expect with my first so I just thought that mega weight of bump was normalBlush

I'm 30 weeks with third (boy) and I already feel heavy....

If you had a big baby, did you just....know?

I have a growth scan mid Sept but I always hear about how inaccurate they are!

My first was 8lb 3 and I had nothing to compare it to but looking at a pic it was a pretty neat bump, and I am usually a size 8-10 and 5'6". My second was 10lb 11 and my bump was massive. Measured 50th centile on every single scan I had 🙄. I don't think I was quite as big for number 3, which was 8b12. 17 weeks with number 4, I feel smaller this time but so early!

My first was 6lb, second was 7lb and third was 10lb. I could definitely feel the difference with the third!

My first was 2lb 3oz and this one is estimated at 6lb 2 at 34 weeks pg. I can definitely feel the difference.

My 1st two were 7.5 lb and 7.10 lb, number 3 was 10.5 lb.

Yes I was absolutely huge with number 3 but I just put it down to excessive chocolate consumption !

Yes my first was 11lbs and I knew he was enormous and was quite anxious about it. Only 4 weeks with this one so we'll see Smile

Not the faintest idea. DD 8lb 4oz. DS 11lb 14oz. With DS I certainly felt like he was taking up more room (couldn't finish a meal etc) but the doctor felt my tummy a few hours before delivery and said "won't be more than 9" :o

In third trimester now and having shitloads of extra scans etc

ItsNachoCheese · 25/08/2017 19:47

Ds was 2lb 2oz at 26 weeks fast forward to a scan at 37 weeks and he was 9lb 1oz and when he was born at 41+3 he was 11lb 0.5oz

Growth scan was spot on for me! I thought it was rubbish as my bump was very neat and the tummy measurement by midwife said 50th percentile, but the scan was very accurate. (Born 8lb 10 at 37 weeks, which was 97th percentile on my chart as I'm quite small - I was glad he didn't hang around to 40 weeks!)
