I honestly can't remember a night where I was asleep before 11pm. Restless legs, heartburn, insomnia, terrible nightmares, sweating, dribbling, being sick in the night.
Oh god, it's so HARD. The days are fine but the nights are absolute hell on earth. Can't believe I have another 3 more weeks of this Sad anyone else in the same boat?

I'm sure your little one won't be long!
Getting cramping and shooting pains now for the past hour or so and they aren't nice but going to have a good night's sleep and hopefully some more progress by the morning xxx

Frillyhorseyknickers · 06/09/2017 07:02

37+3 fuck me, rolling over in bed is a military operation. I gospel your baby arrives soon OP, and mine!

dippypanda · 06/09/2017 07:24

@sophiejayne96 @PoppyH56 how are you both this morning?

I had lots of BH last night, even had some lower cramping during the night so though something might have been starting but woke up to nothing. Possibly might have been as baby was so active yesterday evening/night.

@Frillyhorseyknickers i hear you! Turning over is so hard these days Confused

totallyLosingIt · 06/09/2017 08:01

39+1 here and can sympathise with you all! I spend all day looking forward to going to bed. Sleep for 2 hours, then have the mammoth task of rolling over to get up for a wee, and then I struggle to get back to sleep due to restless legs and various aches. 2 hours later I need to wee again. Repeat until 7am.

I had false labour the other night. Got quite excited that baby was coming, but no. Part of me thinks that's a good thing as I have things I'd like to do around the house before baby arrives, but during the day I just don't have the energy!

totallyLosingIt · 06/09/2017 08:02

Oh, and every time I get up for a wee I am thirsty, so I have a big slug of water. And then I have to finish it off with a Rennie each time else the water feels like it's coming back up as soon as I lie down!

sophiejayne96 · 06/09/2017 08:34

I woke up about 4 times during the night with cramps.. bare in mind I didn't even sleep until 12 turned.. but then this morning just achy legs and stabbing pains in.my cervix when I'm sat/stood up. xxx

justkeepswimmingg · 06/09/2017 09:16

Sophie and poppy, I think you're babies will be here very soon! Not jealous at all Grin.
My little one seems to be far too comfy, and even the BH have stopped. I do see the midwife today, and I am going to request a sweep. She didn't seem keen to 'interfere' at all last time, so I doubt she will agree. I'm not sure if it's because I'm consultant led, or she just doesn't agree with me having it done. Hopefully I don't have to wait too far past my due date, as I see my consultant on that day and he has plans (so possibly just two more days!!) Smile.
And yes turning over at night is physically killing me. My back must 'click' at least 4/5 times during the turning process! Can't wait to sleep on my front again lol.

PoppyH56 · 06/09/2017 22:55

No signs yet and I can't sleep at all tonight! For some reason my brain is on overdrive. Doesn't help I have a crazy active baby in my tummy who doesn't seem to understand it's sleep time 😒 I just want it to be over now! So uncomfortable Sad

calimommy · 07/09/2017 03:39

39+6. I'm weary! Plus minding my 4 & 2yo. My mother is visiting to 'help out' but it's nearly more work to be honest. Anyho. Cervix was still posterior and 2cm as of last night (I went in for reduced movement and he made an absolute liar out of me). Wishing you all more progress!

justkeepswimmingg · 10/09/2017 06:59

Any babies yet? Smile
I'm being induced today, so I'm very nervous this morning. Fingers crossed I meet my boy today! X

silkpyjamasallday · 10/09/2017 07:21

At 38 weeks I was still waking in the night to vomit, and I can sympathise on the overactive baby at nighttime dd used to boot me in the ribs so hard I thought I would cry sometimes Envy I actually got more sleep with a newborn than I did in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Not long now! Stay positive, I had absolutely no clue that labour was going to start when it did, and I was going crazy trying to spot the signs.

PoppyH56 · 10/09/2017 08:01

@justkeepswimmingg good luck!!! I'm so excited for you x

40+4 over here and absolutely no sign of this baby coming out! I have a posterior cervix and am 0cm dilated Sad

totallyLosingIt · 10/09/2017 08:31

Good luck @justkeepswimmingg ! Exciting.

No baby here yet (39+5). I've got a small to-do list which I'm hoping to complete today, and then I can't see any reason why baby will feel we aren't ready for him/her yet. Nothing on the list needs to be done before baby arrives, and we were ready for baby weeks ago. But I'm still clinging to hope that completing my list will spur baby on!

ememem84 · 10/09/2017 08:32

37 weeks and seriously fed up. Can't get comfy at nighttime sick of having to get up to pee.

Eugh.

Dh has been marvellous. Telling me I'm doing great. And being really supportive. But all I want to do is curl up in a little ball and cry. but I can't because the bump gets in the way and it wouldn't be very productive anyway

TheLegendOfBeans · 10/09/2017 08:37

I'm just placemarking for a bloody good whinge later

Incidentally the lack of sleep (six wees in an average night) and DD being quite demanding right now plus my DH going DIY crazy (his nesting) colossally fucking up my need to nest and the fact we have just moved house AGAIN means I'm the feral bitch from hell at the moment and MN is my only outlet as barring a boxing ring I've got nowhere else to let rip.

35 weeks on Tues x

dippypanda · 10/09/2017 10:56

Good luck @justkeepswimmingg Flowers

FlyingGiraffeBox · 10/09/2017 11:04

39 weeks. Every time I roll over (which I have to do regularly as if I stay on one hip for too long it's agony) I have a mental image of some wildlife documentary where they need a large team to roll a tranquillised hippo on to a truck...

Heartburn is horrendous too. God knows how much I've spent on rennies.

ememem84 · 10/09/2017 11:37

Good luck justkeepswimming

We've just been for a look around the maternity ward. Not as scary as I imagined. And one squishy baby born last night apparently.

We can do this.

justkeepswimmingg · 11/09/2017 05:31

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone, wish I had a baby announcement to make but sadly not yetSad.
Induction only happened at 9pm last night, after waiting since 1pm for it. They gave me the 24 hour pessary (which I wouldn't lie - hurt a lot being put in).
I'm missing my confused little boy (2), who's currently staying with my mum. I feel awful for leaving him, when this could possibly take days!
Any baby news to cheer me up?

PoppyH56 · 11/09/2017 21:51

@justkeepswimmingg how are you getting on?

I'm now on day 5 of being overdue and could cry at how much I want this baby here!! This time next week I'll be in the hospital being induced so I know I haven't got long af least. X

OP posts:
justkeepswimmingg · 12/09/2017 00:17

Sadly not great poppy.
Failed induction I'm afraid. I'm having regular strong contractions, after 24 hours, however my cervix isn't dilating. Finding it all very stressful now, and I don't think my concerns are being listened to Sad. Not to put anyone off induction (as it works for many), but I'm starting to regret this decision. I had a sweep a few hours ago, and I'm now just praying that my waters break by themselves..

PoppyH56 · 12/09/2017 06:47

@justkeepswimmingg how many weeks are you when induced? Oh I'm hoping something progresses for you soon Sad

OP posts:
TheLegendOfBeans · 12/09/2017 07:38

@justkeepswimmingg

Cervical dilation and softness will be the best indicator whether rhe pessaries etc are working.

Roughly, if your cervix remains high and long then it's more likely than not you'll end up with a CS.

But if the pessaries are actually changing its state from high and long to soft and dilated then they're working.

sophiejayne96 · 12/09/2017 08:18

JKS.. once the pessary hasn't worked, don't they give you the gel that they put straight up there before going ahead with a CS? xxx

TheLegendOfBeans · 12/09/2017 08:42

Ps; dont regret going for an induction, it's the "preferred" route for all deliveries unless there are absolutely obvious reasons why you clinically wouldn't be able to go there.

sophie

It goes
Pessary
Gel
Gel

Then if there's been any change they will try and go down the drip route if they can get into break your waters

If no changes and they can't see a way "in" to break your waters then it's CS.

Top tip; let clinicians feel that it's then that's made the decision. If you don't progress, ask "what are my options".

They'll say drip/CS. CS is a clinical last resort but you have the right to go "oh yes, seeing as you've mentioned it then that might be the way to go then".

Unless you want to give the drip a go; but it's a waste of time unless you're even a bit dilated.

I'll stop baking your head now OP. Good luck. Xxxxxxxx
