Whooping Cough Vaccine

Just went and had my whooping cough top up today and did a bit of reading on it - does anyone know if my husband should also get a booster?

The protection, as I understand it, is half passive immunization through my immune system, and half from the reduction in risk of passing it in to my baby, as I'll be immune from it. Do you think it's worthwhile him getting a booster to lower his risk of passing it to the baby?

Thanks for any tips!

Following! Didnt even know this was an option! My oh hates needles so might be tricky aha

I didn't know this either. If it's an option I might make DH have it, about time he took some needles too.

Exactly what I'm thinking @Oysterbabe!

Lily understanding was it was given by 37w so the baby got the full immunisation through you. So DH could have whooping cough and baby would be protected. In which case there's no benefit to baby in DH being vaccinated.

It's up to you (and DH!) but if that have better protection wouldn't they advise partners were vaccinated? And what about grandparents, siblings, anyone else in contact with the baby?
