I'm 8 weeks pregnant today and I really do feel awful!! Sad

I'm so exhausted/tired but even when I lay in bed I cannot drop off to sleep, and wake up 10+ times throughout the night because of discomfort or to wee for the thousandth time!! About a week ago I would get pleasure from eating as I was soooo hungry constantly but now waves of nausea are setting in so I can't even really enjoy food now. I was actually sick for the first time last night which made me feel even more rotten!

I'm just so uncomfortable and bloated and tired and too hot all the time that I'm just feeling so lousey and don't know where I can get my 10 minutes of comfort from Sad I just want this crap stage to be over so I can start enjoying it!!

Any suggestions on what I can try out please?!

@tittletattoo poor old you Flowers first trimester is hard but second is much easier for most, not long!

have you tried a pregnancy pillow? a lot of people swear by them, personally I use normal square cushions from my bed to make myself comfy during the night and support bump, it helps!

Lukeandlorelai4Ever · 24/08/2017 14:48

I'm the same. 8+2 and vomiting after everything I eat and feeling nauseated and tired all day. Nothing helps and I also wake up constantly during the night feeling sick. It's awful Sad
I've been a nightmare at work, I can barely do anything. Have a doc app tomorrow to see if I can go on those anti sickness meds.
I can't even cook for my 4 year old cos of the smells Sad

You have all my sympathy - the first trimester sucks.

Eat whatever you feel you can stomach - as odd as it may be; I went through a phase where all I'd eat all day was a couple slices of toast and a pukka pie Blush

I found lime cordial with ice settled my stomach.

Also sea sickness bands worked a bit in my first pregnancy but not so much this time. Might be worth a try though!

A nice cool fan on your face at night and a pregnancy pillow might help ease your discomfort.

Hopefully it passes for you soon - mine lasted until 12 weeks first time and 16 weeks second time and you feel high as a kite when you realise you feel ok again! All the best Flowers

I'm 8+3 and feel like absolute crap. I've spent the last 2 weeks in bed. I too wake up every 2 hours to wee and I'm so thirsty that I can't stop drinking water so that makes it worse! I don't sleep well and when I am awake I feel like a nauseous zombie.

I find that fresh air helps. And I try not to nap as much in the day as I really want a good nights sleep.

Try and find a food that you like. At the moment I'm liking plums, melon and beef patties - and eating regularly in small portions defo makes me feel better!

You are not alone 🤗

Jadebee1 · 24/08/2017 23:28

Not alone, I'm sick atleast 3 times a day, never in a pattern, and immediately after I'm starving belly rumbling at all, ive actually lost weight.

Then there's the thirst, god is that the pitts

I hope it all clears up for you and you start to feel human again, Flowers
