If your 1st was 42 weeks when did your 2nd arrive?

Interested in knowing if ladies with first babies who were really quite late had similar 2nd time round. I was induced at 42 weeks with my first. Now at 40+ 3 with my 2nd and really want a home birth so hoping she hurries up.

First was 42 +5 after long, hellish induction. Second was 37+5!

42+3. 41+5.

Both my 1&2 were 41 weeks and I'm now on no3 so wondering if it will be the same! Hope not!

First 42 weeks. Second 40 weeks exactly

2nd child was 40 plus 3, after a sweep

First was EMCS after induction and 13 hour labour

2nd was 13 hours labour with ventouse

1st was emergency section at 42 +2

2nd hadn't arrived by 41 so had a planned section at 41 +4

First was 42 weeks - i went into labour the morning i was going to be induced; it was a very long labour.
Second was 42 weeks and a very quick labour

40+6, 39

First was 40+4

Second was later at 40+14, no signs of labour, non favourable cervix for sweep and ended up induction.

Hopefully 3rd doesn't keep us waiting as long.

First 42 weeks.
2nd 40 weeks + 2 days

DD1- 41+4
DD2 - 40+1

3rd was induced at term +13

Interesting! Sounds like most people experienced pregnancies of similar length, 1st & 2nd time! Hopefully this baby won't be quite as late!

DC1 gestated for a whole month longer than dc3

How are you getting on op?

1st DC - induced at 41+5, born at 42
2nd DC - was supposed to be induced at 41+5 but came in a big hurry (2.5 hours start to finish) the night before at 41+4

First 40+13 induced
Second 37+1 induced after waters went at 36+6

Thanks for replies. I'm still pregnant: 41 + 3. Really hope she arrives soon. Induction booked for next Tues... want to avoid it.

Dc1 - born exactly 41wks, after starting with contractions at 40+4.

Currently 38wks with DC2 so following with interest.

42, 42 and 42. Good luck op x
