Can anyone with a bugaboo help me. I think I am probably being very stupid, but cant figure out what you do and dont get in the quoted price of a bugaboo - do you get the carrycot IN that price? And the car seat - is the idea that you buy a car seat seperately and it is able to fit onto the Bugaboo frame? Sorry to be stupid!

LOL!

Never had a bugaboo (weren't around when my DS's were babies), but from what I have read about them, you get a carrycot, but car seat is not included in the price.

newby29 · 31/03/2007 17:33

see, I dont know if I am being silly but nowhere does it seem to say the carrycot is indluded in the price. So good to know it is! and for toher travel systems (eg Mamas and papas?) is it the same deal - that carrycot is included but car seat not?

no idea on mamas and papas, they seem to have different set ups according to price.

foir the bugaboo cameleon, i got seat, carrycot + fleece covers (hood, seat cover and apron), plus all the extras like mossie net, raincover etc. the adpators for the maxi cosi car seat can be about £20-£25 off ebay. but make sure the maxi cosi fits in your car.

you can also get adaptors tho hard to find for an m+p seat to fit the bug as well.

if you look on m and ps website i dont think there are any package prices, but i have latest catalogue and the way i worked it out, was that its basically cheaper for everything if you buy it as a travel system as if you bought individual 2in1/3in1, it works out almost the same price as with it as you get a discount if you buy the carseat together with the puschair
they have these combos hope it helps

*pliko(umbrella)travel pack (includes pushchair, small carrycot, carseat,
raincover,footmuff, and changing bag
£400 which is a much better bargain i than buying things individually

*modo 4in1(includes 2in1 seat unit NO sepearte carrycot, mpx swivel wheel chassis, carseat,a stand to use in carrycot mode, and apron which can be used as footmuff £385
indidvidually these cost seat unit, chassis apron and stand cost £325 and car seat is £110 so its a better deal to buy as a package

*ulima/forme 6in1 same as above but with seprate carrycot £535
individually seatunit, carrycot, stand, apron chassis and carseat is £525 and then carseat is £110

this just gives you an idea but remember the last 2 prams you would need a raincover £30 a bag £50 a footmuff £50 a parasol/canopy £30

theres also the pliko pramette and various 2 in 1s and combos but go online and order a catalogue cheaper than buying one at coop for a £1 coz its free has all options and prices inside

sorry so long hope it helps
