Exactly as the title says really. Do i need to wash all new baby clothes before DS wears them? And does it need to be in Non Bio? Thanks.

Sorry feeding baby & clicked post.

Keep label on smaller sizes incase you need to take them back.

Orangebird69 · 23/08/2017 10:45

I didn't. And I use BIO powder. And Lenor Gold. Because BIO cleans better and Lenor Gold smells nice. No skin problems for DS here.

I would wash everything before you use it because have you seen how nasty shop floors can be? Also when the clothes are in the store everyone touches them and some people are damn filthy. Maybe don't wash EVERYTHING you have as you might return some things but definitely try to wash it before you use it.

fairgame84 - there is no official advice to switch to non-bio Smile

BertieBotts · 23/08/2017 11:35

No, I never did and nothing bad happened.

You don't need to use non bio. No other country even sells it.

Orangebird69 · 23/08/2017 11:46

Exactly Bertie. I'm really a bit Hmm at all this non bio powder compulsion.

confused123456 · 23/08/2017 11:51

I didn't.

SelfObsessionHoney · 23/08/2017 11:57

I didn't. And I use bio wash stuff. It gets the shit stains out better.

I washed everything before I had DD. Everything was huge on her and DH had to make a mad rush to Next first thing in the morning after I had her in the night to buy something that actually fitted her. So they came straight out of the packet. She was fine!

PersianCatLady · 23/08/2017 12:00

In reality it was actually a bit of a pain because he outgrew everything so fast he barely wore half of it so we didn't use it but couldn't return it or swap it!
If only, my son was so such as s baby that everything was worn until it wore out.

Wow, thank you for all your responses! I'm being induced on Friday and had a scan yesterday, so know he's roughly 6lb. I have Eczema and hayfever which was one of my concerns - along with chemicals and how manky shops can be! I dont have excessive amounts of Up to 1 month or Newborn, so think i will just wash all the bits in those sizes as doubt i'll need to take any back. x
