I haven't gained enough weight?

I'm 28+2 with my first and had a MW appointment this morning. I weighed myself out of curiosity and I've only put on about 6.5 lbs since I was weighed at my booking in appointment. BMI was healthy before pregnancy and the MW didn't seem concerned but having had a Google, apparently I should be at least 7lbs heavier at this point?! I eat a fair bit and eat pretty healthy food so... should I be concerned??
I know there are health implications for not putting on enough weight as well as putting on too much!

I'm 28+5 and up until a couple of weeks ago, had only put on 2lb. I've had a bit of a 'growth spurt' over the past week or so and have now probably put on 7lb total. I'm not worried, I'm grateful!

Midwives aren't concerned and bump is measuring perfectly fine.

I only put on 10lb whilst I was pregnant but still had a perfectly healthy 7lb15oz baby. I really wouldn't worry.

I'm 36 weeks and have only put on 10.75lbs so far. However i was overweight to start with.
I don't think midwifes are too bothered about the mums weight unless there are signs that the baby is not developing well. As long as your scans are OK and your bump is measuring ok, I doubt the midwife will even give your weight a thought!!

I wouldn't worry too much if your midwife is happy. I put on 11lbs when I was pregnant with DS2. He was born at 37 weeks weighing 8lbs and was 2 feet long.

I weighed the same the day before I gave birth as I did at my booking appointment.

I lost a lot of weight through morning sickness and lack of wine drinking for 9 months.

I mentioned it a few tims to midwives and not one batted an eyelid. DD was born normal weight and healthy.

In fairness 0.5 of a lb 'short' of where you think you should be is neither here or there. It's the equivalent of a big poo!

Thank you everyone - very encouraging to hear. I can stop worrying Smile

To be fair she didn't even make a note of my weight as it was me who wanted to weigh myself out of interest! And the bump is measuring fine etc.

Still might try and consume a few extra calories - just in case Wink

pastabest sorry my OP wasn't very clear - I should be 7lbs heavier than I am now... so should be about 13lbs heavier than my original weight
