Confused and need some help to understand things !

Hi everyone, new to this so not quite sure how it works, I found out I was pregnant on the 13th august by taking a clear blue test and it stated 2-3 weeks, I'm unsure as to when my last period was as i don't keep track. I went for a scan on the 18th aug and it showed up just an empty sac, no yolk. Is it possible that I feel pregnant on the 28th July ? I'm hoping not because something bad happened that night with someone else and I'm totally confused how to work things out, I took another test today (22nd) and it says 3+ weeks.

If it said 2-3 then that would make you 4-5 weeks and it's pretty normal to only see a sac before 6 weeks. Are you being rescanned?

Yes it is possible that you fell pregnant on or around 28/7 as if your period was due on 13th then ovulation would have occurred 2 weeks before

Getting rescanned on the 1st September two weeks after the first one. I have no idea when I ovulate or when my period is this is why I'm so confused, I took the test 2 weeks after that dreaded night and it said 2-3 and you said that means I'm 4-5 and that's confused me in itself lol 😂 I don't understand how if it was that night it happened I would no 2weeks later that I was pregnant x

Because 2-3 means 2-3 weeks from conception. Pregnancy is dated from your last period so the average woman will ovulate on or around cd14 and period will be due two weeks following that as most leutal phases are around 14 days. It doesn't matter how your cycle is though if you are 2 weeks from conception your pregnancy will be dated as 4 weeks

Your scan suggests a pregnancy of around 4/5 weeks so that means you conceived 2-3 weeks ago. I hope that makes sense

Still confused to high heaven 🙈 How can I conceive 2-3 weeks ago and be 4-5 weeks ? Surely if you conceive 2-3 weeks ago your pregnant from that day you did the deed lol, why put an extra two weeks on top of it if that's not the case ? X

There is always an extra two weeks added on top meaning that the day you actually conceive, you are already two weeks pregnant because it is calculated from the date of your last period.

Your conceive when you ovulate but your pregnancy is dated from your last monthly period roughly (assuming women have one roughly every 28 days). I know you say you don't know when your periods are really but regardless when you tested an it came up 2-3 weeks since conception, you likely ovulated roughly two weeks before that an therefore were roughly 4 weeks pregnant.

What everyone have said above is correct. If you got a positive test on 13th August and it quoted 2-3 weeks from conception then you most certainly could of fallen pregnant from the 28th July. Highly likely I would say depending on what other sexual activity you were having around then.

pregnancy is dated from the first day of your last period. But you obviously aren't pregnant on that date as for the first week you're bleeding so you conceive when you ovulate which for most women is somewhere around cd14 you'd then "miss" your period 2 weeks later on cd28 and you are 4 weeks pregnant & 2 weeks from conception. I appreciate its not the most sensible of systems but it is how it is and they've been dating pregnancies this way for forever and a day.

I know you say you don't know when your period was, but your scan and the conception indicator both put you at 4 weeks pregnant on 13th August so you were 2 weeks from conception. I know it's not what you want to hear but it is highly likely that you have fallen pregnant from what ever happened on 28th July
