Rash help!!

I am 35 and a half weeks pregnant, and for the last 3 days have had the most unbearable rash on my bump! It started only below my belly button, but seems to be spreading around my bump. It's made up of little red bump/welts. It itches more than I could ever describe, literally had me in tears and just burns I've tried my best not to scratch it, had cold baths, moisturised etc and nothing is helping!!!

When I asked my midwife she said she had never seen anything like it before and to go to the doctors (I have an appointment in the week).... has anyone ever experienced anything like this before?? Thank you!

Without seeing the rash it's difficult to tell. Many antihistamines are safe in pregnancy so if it's itching maybe you could try an antihistamine cream. If it's really unbearable then ring 111 and get them to book you an out of hours GP appointment today who can look and get you something to relieve it

Google PUPP rash - I had this it was awful. My GP didn't know what it was either, I only worked it out afterwards. Only upside was that it got me used to not sleeping before the babies arrived!

Having said that, it's a good idea to see the GP anyway in case it is another condition which is more serious (obstetric cholestasis or something like that).

You have my total sympathy but I'm afraid nothing helped with the itching.
